Using the Chronobooks Backup for Your QuickBooks Online Advanced File

We were an early adopter of ChronoBooks, the newly acquired backup service for QuickBooks Online Advanced. A few years ago, we reached out to Nate, and were excited about his new service that was able to seamlessly backup QuickBooks files in case of issue.

For those new to QuickBooks Online, previous to this the only way to back up your files was to download a Desktop copy. Support could not roll back, and they did not have a way to backup. Nate’s ingenuity was perfect. He found a major problem in a new ecosystem, and fixed it, at a great price point.

Fast forward to this year, and as I’m reading through the latest and greatest, I see the headline about the purchase of ChronoBooks. While I never got to know Nate very well, I can only imagine what an exciting path this was for his organization.

While I’m disappointed that my regular version of QuickBooks Online is no longer backed up, I’m also excited about the added functionality for our QuickBooks Online Advanced clients.

For more on this change, check out Nate’s post here: https://www.chronobooks.com/ and the release from Intuit here.

The ChronoBooks add in is currently pre-launch for QuickBooks Online Advanced. I will update this post when it is officially live, so bookmark it.
