FAQs

  • What if I just need training with QuickBooks or accounting software?

We have options available for training, bookkeeping, controller-ship, and more. We are here as little or as much as you need us.

  • What support do you offer?

We are always here to help, and our goal is to form long term engagements with our clients. We are also available via phone and email M-F 9-4 EST 5 days a week.

  • What do I gain by working with you?

You have an independent consultant who is focused on finding your best fit, and knows the pros and cons of different software through our experience on hundreds of implementations. You have a software advocate who will not push you into a package that doesn’t fit. Our success is dependent on your success.

  • What languages do you work with?

We have English and Spanish-speaking consultants, can provide services in Sign Language.

  • Do you have promotions?

We have several promotions that occur through the month. In order to get first notice of these, sign up for our newsletter.

  • Do you only work with QuickBooks?

We work with several software suites depending on need and characteristics.

  • Who should be involved in the project?

Staff who will be in the software daily, managers, and any other stakeholders should be involved in the decision at some level for maximum adoption and engagement. We can coordinate team check ins and huddles weekly to help gather input and coordinate feedback as part of your project.

  • How big is your team?

We do not hire subcontractors or 1099 employees for our projects. We have a dedicated team of more than 20 employees and counting. We are available for remote and in-person projects.

  • Do you provide custom accounting software development?

We are a fan of the KISS method. Custom development requires maintenance and long term development that is, many times, not considered upfront. We first look for simpler solutions, such as API tools and connector apps such as Webgility, Zapier, and more, and then discuss custom development if truly a need. We do have developers on staff and that can be sourced as well. Custom development is out, no- and low-code is in.

  • Do you provide long term services or just implementations?

Of course! While many of our clients know us for our implementation services, we also provide monthly bookkeeping, administration, business process outsourcing services, as well as e-commerce management, consulting and more.

  • When is the best time to start my project?

Now! All kidding aside, planning well ahead of time is never a bad idea. Discovery and pre-project planning is an important part of any software project, just like planning and packing for a trip is a very important part of the trip. Your planning, along with the assistance of our team, will help us to make your next software move the last one for the foreseeable future.

  • What size project do you typically take on?

It really runs the gamut. We have completed data file set ups for 20+ locations on QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop Software, and we’ve helped Sue down the street with a quick training time block.

  • Do you go on-site?

Depending on the project and client needs we can go on-site on a case by case basis. A trip fee and mileage will apply, or travel reimbursement + markup for non-local travel.

  • Why should I work with you and not the accounting software vendor?

We work hand in hand with our software partners. If you prefer to work directly with them and DIY your implementation that is totally ok. We work mainly with clients looking for more control over the implementation flow, clients working with multiple suites, and clients that need a consultative hand. We also offer discounts and promotions above what you can receive with a direct relationship in most cases. We provide Gantt charts, status updates and more. You get a true partner in growth when you work with us.

  • What does your future hold?

We are focused on working with best-fit clients and building successful partnerships to help our clients scale. We continue to invest in our team and in expanding our physical footprint in NC and SC.
