QuickBooks Team Sprinkles 4 Niche Updates into QBO
Happy new year! If the product updates from Intuit QuickBooks are any indication, we may all still be recovering from the holiday season and easing into 2023. No judgment from me!
The QuickBooks team released four useful updates to QuickBooks Online (QBO) in January. These changes are targeted at specific subsets of QBO users. Let’s take a look at who benefits from the software changes.
1. QuickBooks Checking Customers with Android Devices
Once you’ve discovered the joy of depositing checks from your couch, it’s a convenience that’s hard to do without. Now, QuickBooks Checking customers with the Android app can access mobile check deposit.
Once you’ve deposited a check through the QuickBooks Online app, the check images will be available to view on the web. If your accountant has access to your account, they’ll be able to see the check images in the bank feed transactions as well.
Customers need to be QuickBooks Checking customers for at least 30 days before they can use mobile check deposit. If you’re an iOS user, you already have access to mobile check deposit.
2. Customers Setting Up QuickBooks Time
QuickBooks Time is a robust time tracking solution that eliminates the headache around employee paydays and invoices for hourly customer work. To make sure setting up QuickBooks Time isn’t a headache either, QBO has launched a fresh setup experience for administrators.
A step-by-step checklist keeps the process organized for administrators, who also get access to a free guided setup session with one of the experts at QuickBooks. QuickBooks Time is included in QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium and QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite.
3. QBO Banking Customers with Foreign Currency Bank Accounts
If you bank in multiple currencies, you’ve been using a manual workaround to match your transactions in foreign currencies instead of using that handy “Find Match” button. No longer!
The “Find Match” button is now available in foreign currency bank transaction lists. It pulls possible matches from transactions that are in the same currency, saving you time when reconciling your books.
4. QBO Customers Who Want To Edit Auto-Add Bank Rules
I told you these were niche changes! If you’re among the QBO users who have bank rules set up and you’ve ever wished that you could batch edit the “auto-add” preference, your wish has been granted. Bless those Intuit software developers.
Little updates, big delight
I love these kinds of small software updates because they remind me that the QuickBooks team focuses on delighting every customer. You very well may be among the niche users who benefit from one of January’s four QBO updates!
