Intuit has recently announced the decision to discontinue QuickBooks Point-of-Sale (quickbook pos). Effective immediately, there will be no new sales of this software. However, new users can be added to existing POS systems through October 2, 2023.

As of October 3, 2023, QuickBook POS System will no longer be supported. This means:

• You will no longer be able to add users, receive security updates, or use integrations such as Webgility.

• Merchant Services and Payroll will no longer work with the POS system.

• Multistore systems will no longer be able to sync accounting data between the HQ store and remote locations.

However, you can continue using QuickBooks Point of Sale Software. The financial integration to QuickBooks Desktop will continue to function. • If you bought QuickBooks POS recently, you can apply for a full refund within 60 days of your purchase, and we can help you through that process.

• In addition, Shopify is offering a 50% discount on both their software and retail hardware, when former QuickBooks POS customers make the switch and pair Shopify POS with their MAS.

Along with Shopify POS, we recommend shifting to QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBOA) which can be easily integrated with your new POS system.
