QuickBooks Online Serves Several Sizzling Updates in July

QuickBooks Online is continuously evolving to meet the needs of small businesses, and July 2023 brings some exciting updates to the platform. Hot off the presses, these are the latest features and improvements to four areas of QuickBooks Online. Don’t break a sweat this summer; take advantage of the updates to make the most out of your software.

QuickBooks Online Advanced Updates

1. Create Multi-Condition Approval Workflows

With the new update, QuickBooks Online Advanced users can now create multi-condition approval workflows. This feature allows you to set up rules based on different criteria, such as transaction amount, vendor, or expense category. By automating your approval process, you can save time and ensure that the right people review and authorize expenses, purchases, and other transactions.

2. Use Spreadsheet Sync with Custom Reports

QuickBooks Online Advanced now offers Spreadsheet Sync for custom reports. This feature allows you to sync custom reports between Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online Advanced, enabling the easy creation of graphs or multi-business reporting. It's a convenient way to track data outside of QuickBooks while keeping custom reports up to date, and vice versa.

QuickBooks Online Dashboard Updates

1. Customize Your Business Overview Dashboard

The business overview dashboard in QuickBooks Online now allows you to customize the information you see at a glance. You can rearrange the tiles and choose the key metrics that matter most to your business. Whether you want to monitor cash flow, sales performance, or expenses, you can tailor the dashboard to display the data that is most relevant to you and your team.

2. Get App Diagnostic Data with a New Dashboard

QuickBooks Online is introducing a new diagnostic dashboard in the My Apps section. This dashboard provides insights into the health and performance of your connected apps. You can quickly identify any issues or errors that may be impacting the integration between QuickBooks and third-party apps, allowing you to troubleshoot and resolve them promptly.

QuickBooks Checking Updates

1. Attach Receipts to Transactions in Real Time

Keeping track of receipts is now easier for QuickBooks Online users with a QuickBooks Checking debit card. You’ll be prompted to attach receipts to transactions in real time, directly from the QuickBooks mobile app. Simply take a photo of the receipt and attach it to the corresponding transaction. This feature helps you maintain a digital record of your expenses, making it easier to organize and retrieve receipts when needed.

2. Deposit and Transfer Larger Sums in the Mobile App

QuickBooks Online has increased the mobile check deposit and transfer limits for QuickBooks Checking accounts. This means you can now deposit larger checks and make higher-value transfers using the mobile app — up to $10,000 a day and $30,000 a week in check deposits, and up to $100,000 in outgoing and $500,000 in incoming ACH transfers. With the updated limits, you have more flexibility and convenience in managing your business finances on the go.

QuickBooks Online Payroll Updates

1. Create More Complete Employee Records

QuickBooks Online Payroll now allows you to maintain more comprehensive employee records. You can add employee photos to their profiles, making it easier to identify and manage your workforce. Other information, like an employee’s department and manager, can now be manually added to their profile.

2. Manage Payroll Items En Masse

Managing your employees’ payroll items is now easier to do for a growing staff. With the latest update, you can easily filter and make multi-employee adjustments to payroll items, such as pay types, deductions, contributions, and even work assignments. As teams grow, get more done quickly and accurately with a single stop to manage payroll attributes.

Stay Cool with QuickBooks Online’s Summer Updates

QuickBooks Online continues to enhance its features to empower efficient accounting and financial management. The July 2023 updates provide more customization, control, and real-time tracking to simplify workflows and give you more time poolside.
