Can you give a brief description of your company?
Carolina Equine Rescue and Assitance (CERA) is a nonprofit organization focused on livestock rescue and assistance. Our mission is to care for any homeless or hungry animals—we simply can’t turn anyone away.

How did you first hear about our service?
I was looking for a bookkeeper on Facebook when I came across Katie. She reached back out and told me she could help, and that’s how we got started.

What challenges/problems necessitated a change?
I was completely overwhelmed by the paperwork. It just kept piling up, and I found myself pushing it aside, which made things even worse. I didn’t fully understand what I was dealing with, and I knew I needed help to avoid mistakes and get organized. I also wanted to spend more time focusing on the animals and less on the administrative side of things.

What trends in your industry drove the need to use our product?
You handle my bookkeeping, which is a vital part of keeping my nonprofit running smoothly.

What were you looking for in a solution?
I wanted to free up my time so I could focus on caring for the animals instead of worrying about bookkeeping and back-end work. It was important to me to feel like I was fulfilling my purpose of helping animals.

I was blown away by how quickly you delivered results. I thought it would take weeks to get the financials I needed, but you had them ready in just a couple of days. Your efficiency really impressed me.

You’ve kept me on track and made sure everything stays organized. Your constant communication and proactive approach have made it so much easier to manage everything.

Absolutely. Having the financial reports you provide has made a huge difference in managing the businesses I work with.

What have you been most impressed with?
I’ve been most impressed by the people. If I didn’t like working with you, I wouldn’t still be here! You’ve all been so kind and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. I really appreciate how you take the time to explain things in a way I can understand, breaking down what needs to be done, why it’s important, and how it helps. That means a lot to me because I’m someone who always needs to know the “why.”
